About AWAMN

The Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria (AWAMN) was registered in 2008 as a membership- based organization with over 500 members across Nigeria.

The membership cut across various value-chain actors/ practitioners within the waste management industry, from waste collectors, to Recyclers, academics and Consulting Companies in Nigeria.

The Association is the authoritative voice on waste management,resource recovery etc in Nigeria and seek to achieve positive development in the industry through the establishment of mutually benefitting partnerships and strengthening relationships, collaboration, knowledge sharing and championing the implementation of international best practice and standards.

The Board of Trustees

The Association has a Ten-person board of trustees duly registered in accordance to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The Executive Committee

These are elected through an election by members, The EXCO is the supreme policy and decision implementation organ of the Association for the Association by the Association.

Current Executive Committee Members

The Committee is responsible for the day to day running of the Association in conformity with the provisions of the constitution. The EXCO performs her duties through various statutory and standing committees.
